Juniors

Mengeham Rythe Sailing Club is a family friendly club that actively supports sailing amongst our junior members.  We have a Junior Committee (junior and adult members are welcome) that gets together every few months to discuss plans and ideas that are relevant to junior members and also organises a few junior social events throughout the year.    Our Junior Secretary is Wendy Ferguson and she would love to hear from you about your ideas to support juniors.  Her e-mail address is juniorsec@mengeham.org.uk

The Jeremy Strugnell Fund

The Jeremy Strugnell Fund is founded on a legacy left to the Club by the late Jeremy Strugnell for the purposes of furthering the sailing experience of young club members.

The fund is administered by the Club's vice presidents and is supported by donations or legacies from individuals and businesses, and the proceeds of particular events; it is also credited annually with subscriptions of cadet members.

Jeremy himself was instrumental in developing training at the Club in the 1970s, and accordingly most of the funds are applied in the provision of boats for training, although individual awards are also made.

Anyone interested in supporting the work of the Fund in any way should contact the Club's President or Training Principal.
