MRSC CLUB BOAT HIRE

MRSC owns a number of club boats for the use by members at any time during the week or weekends.

Its a great way to try out a different boat or enter one of the club races.

A small fee for hire is required to cover maintenance of the boats.

This is a new event that was requested by juniors. It will be an opportunity to learn key skills in the event of an emergency on the water and gain a certificate!
What could you do if your crew cut themselves?
What should you do if you think someone has hurt their ankle after capsizing?
We will also have plenty of resuscitation dolls to get practising on too!
Please come along at 1pm. After the training we will have pizzas, nibbles and hopefully time for some games – aiming to finish for 6.30pm.
Although, why not stay for the ‘Card Bingo’ club social at 7pm too!
There is no cost for the training, however please bring £5 cash for food. I will then purchase enough for everyone to share, rather than families bringing their own. Volunteers to help cook very welcome!

RYA First Aid – An RYA Emergency First Aid course, covering the basics of First Aid in the context of boating.
Cost £30
Our one-day course covers all the usual first aid subjects, but from a boating perspective. It is aimed at anyone who goes afloat, whether enjoying sailing in the Harbour or on cross channel passages.This one-day course is designed to provide a working knowledge of first aid for people using small craft and to support skippers.
What you need to bring: Sandwich lunch, pen & paper.
What you get: RYA First Aid Certificate and booklet; tea and coffee
